În perioada 30 octombrie  – 1 noiembrie 2009, se vor întâlni la Iaşi,  profesori din învăţământul superior şi preuniversitar, elevi şi studenţi, specialişti în educaţie şi IT, cu ocazia Conferinţei Naţionale de Învăţământ Virtual (CNIV, www.cniv.ro/2009/), ediţia a VII-a şi a Conferinţei Internaţionale de Învăţământ Virtual (ICVL, www.icvl.eu/2009/), ediţia a IV-a. Cele două manifestări ştiinţifice sunt organizate de Universitatea din Bucureşti în parteneriat cu Universitatea Tehnică “Gheorghe Asachi” din Iaşi, SIVECO România şi compania Intel. Evenimentele sunt finanţate parţial de Ministerul Educaţiei, Cercetării şi Inovării prin Autoritatea Naţională pentru Cercetare Ştiinţifică (ANCS).

Anul acesta, sub deviza ,,Imaginează. Creează. Inovează”, obiectivul Anului European al Cercetării şi Inovării (http://create2009.europa.eu/) este promovarea de demersuri creative şi inovatoare în diferite sectoare ale activităţii umane. Se urmăreşte promovarea educării în domeniile matematic, ştiinţific şi tehnologic, a aptitudinilor de bază şi avansate favorabile inovării tehnologice, precum şi promovarea unei mai strânse legături între arte, între organizaţii, şcoli şi universităţi.

Proiectele CNIV şi ICVL sunt manifestări ştiinţifice ce promovează tehnologii şi metodologii inovative în educaţie, în cercetare şi în perfecţionarea continuă, atât în mediile preuniversitar, respectiv universitar, cât şi în mediul de afaceri. Principalele obiective ale Conferinţelor constau în promovarea şi dezvoltarea cercetării ştiinţifice în domeniile eLearning şi Software Educaţional, lansarea de programe pentru introducerea în procesul de învăţământ a tehnicilor de eLearning, promovarea şi utilizarea de Software Educaţional în învăţământul superior şi preuniversitar. Toate ediţiile  au demonstrat din partea specialiştilor, cercetătorilor, profesorilor, studenţilor şi elevilor, un interes deosebit privind utilizarea noilor tehnologii de e-Learning, promovarea de software educaţional şi metode moderne în procesul educaţional.Structurate şi organizate după principii europene şi standarde internaţionale, cele două proiecte încurajează şi promovează lucrul la proiecte, activităţile colaborative,  metodele şi experimentele ştiinţifice, gândirea creativă şi intuiţia, argumentaţia şi demonstraţia.

Volumul de lucrări publicate la CNIV conţine 71 lucrări accepate dintr-un număr de 86 înscrise şi 99 propuse. Volumul de lucrări publicate la ICVL conţine 52 lucrări accepate dintr-un număr de 89 înscrise şi 103 propuse. Cele 123 de lucrări pot fi accesate şi on-line (http://www.icvl.eu/2009/disc/).

Cu aceste ocazii, se vor desfăşura Concursul “Software Educaţional 2009” şi Expoziţia de produse software, echipamente şi produse IT destinate educaţiei, cercetării şi inovării.
